This kit introduces students to the Toronto Star. Activities involve a wide range of skills including reading, writing, mathematics, drama and social studies. There is heavy emphasis on writing and group work including communal evaluation, editing and rewriting. These skills are very much part of the Ministry of Education's current curriculum. Emphasis is also placed on the values of co-operation, competition, basic skills in research, analysis and extrapolation.
