Why should I use the Toronto Star in my classroom?

Newspapers provide a link between the classroom and the real world. The Toronto Star is like a "living textbook", reporting history as it happens.

The newspapers are supplemented with teaching guides that contain relevant curriculum links and provide newspaper-based activities. Plus, newspapers are a cost-effective teaching tool.
